Site Characterization/Remediation
The purpose of the Site Characterization is to delineate the vertical
and lateral extent of soil and/or groundwater contamination after
a Subsurface Investigation has identified contamination. All site
characterizations are performed by experienced environmental professionals
under the direction of a Registered Professional Geologist and/or
a Registered Environmental Assessor. All samples are analyzed by
environmental laboratories certified by the appropriate regulatory
agencies.
The Scope of Services in a Site Characterization Includes:
- Characterization of vertical and lateral extent of contamination
- Preparation of remedial action plan
- Regulatory agency interface and closure negotiation
- Discussion of alternative remediation methods
- Implementation of remediation program
- Monitoring of remediation activities
